Lincoln -- The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce held its tenth annual Celebrate Business awards celebration on September 6, at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel, recognizing 7 businesses/individuals for their excellence, sustained corporate achievement and business citizenship.
“The annual Celebrate Business Luncheon brings together Lincoln’s business leaders, as well as acknowledge those whose contributions make it possible for Lincoln to grow and prosper” stated Wendy Birdsall, interim president for the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
A crowd of over 700 were on hand to congratulate the winners of this year’s event.
The Burnham Yates Citizenship award which recognizes individual citizenship efforts acknowledging a corporate citizen for his/her business and charitable contributions to the city, making it possible for Lincoln to continue to grow and prosper went to Rich Bailey, Bailey Lauerman Advertising Agency. The prestigious Cornerstone award which is presented to the corporate entity which best demonstrates leadership in the community and whose entrepreneurship and skillful endeavors has added to the economic base of our community and provided the opportunity for others to work and live in Lincoln was presented to TierOne Bank. The Small Business of the Year Award honors that business which best exemplifies the spirit of free enterprise in Lincoln was awarded to Snitily Carr Advertising Agency. The Tourism Pioneer of the Year Award, given to Tom Lorenz, of Pershing Center was given for her achievements and contributions towards the expansion of the Lincoln tourism industry. The Tourism Development award was received by the Deb Johnson of Updowntowners, Inc.
The Fastest Growing Business Award was awarded to i2rd, the Woman Owned Business Award was presented to Allneeds Computer & Mailing and Dung Pham of Beauty Image received the Minority Owned Business Award.
